The Haldia Institute of Dental Sciences and Research (HIDSAR) is a premier dental education institution that began its Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) program in the academic session 2007-08 under the affiliation of the West Bengal University of Health Sciences. Recognized by the Dental Council of India and the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, HIDSAR has established itself as a center of excellence in dental education and healthcare.

With its commitment to advanced education, the college expanded its offerings in the 2015-16 session by introducing Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) programs in six specialties, further adding another specialty by the 2017-18 session. HIDSAR is dedicated to providing a comprehensive learning environment, blending the expertise of both young and experienced faculty members. Admission

Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS)

Appear for NEET UG:

• Eligibility: To pursue BDS, candidates must appear for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG, which is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
• Subjects: The exam consists of questions from Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Botany and Zoology).
• Application: Candidates need to fill out the NEET UG application form online and pay the requisite fee.

Participate in West Bengal NEET UG Counseling:

• Counseling Authority: The counseling process for BDS seats in West Bengal is conducted by the Government of West Bengal's Department of Health & Family Welfare.
• Registration: Candidates must register online for the West Bengal NEET UG Counseling after the NEET UG results are declared.
• Choice Filling: During counseling, candidates need to fill in their choices of colleges and courses based on their NEET UG rank.
• Seat Allocation: Seats are allocated based on the candidate's rank, choices filled, and availability of seats in the participating dental colleges.
• Reporting: Once a seat is allotted, candidates must report to the allocated college within the stipulated time frame for document verification and admission formalities.

Master of Dental Surgery (MDS)

Appear for NEET MDS:

• Eligibility: To pursue MDS, candidates must appear for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for MDS (NEET MDS), also conducted by NTA.
• Subjects: The exam covers various subjects related to dental science.
• Application: Candidates need to apply for the NEET MDS exam through the official NTA website and complete the registration process.

Participate in West Bengal NEET MDS Counseling:

• Counseling Authority: The Government of West Bengal's Department of Health & Family Welfare conducts the counseling process for MDS seats in West Bengal.
