The Directorate of Medical Education, Assam, has announced the schedule for the 1st round of online counseling for admission into the 1st year of MBBS and BDS courses in government medical and dental colleges for the 2024 session. This is specifically for candidates who have qualified for NEET UG 2024.

Key Dates:

• Online Registration: August 21 to August 23, 2024 (until 11:55 PM)
• Choice Filling: August 24 to August 26, 2024 (until 10:00 PM)
• Choice Locking: August 26, 2024 (5:00 PM to 11:55 PM)
• Seat Allotment Process: August 27 to August 28, 2024
• Result Announcement: August 29, 2024

All eligible candidates, including those from General, PwD, and various reserved categories, must register and fill in their choices online. Please note that no separate offline counseling will be conducted for these seats. For those applying under special quotas like Ex-Servicemen and Sports, document verification is mandatory on August 16, 2024, before participating in the online counseling.
