Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the TATA AIG Avanti Fellows Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be a girl student from one of the following states/UTs: Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Jammu & Kashmir, Jharkhand, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Odisha, Punjab, Sikkim, Tripura, and Uttar Pradesh.
- Have completed Class 12 from a Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Kendriya Vidyalaya, or State Government School.
- Belong to one of the following categories: SC/ST/Gen-EWS/PwD.
- Have cleared the JEE Mains/Advanced or NEET examination.
- Have secured (or be able to secure) admission to any of the top 200 Engineering Colleges or Government Medical Colleges.
Application and Selection Process
- Registration: Eligible students are invited to submit their applications, which include personal information, academic records, and other required documents. It is essential to read the Application Guide before starting the application.
- Screening of Applications: Applications are reviewed and screened based on eligibility criteria. Incomplete or irrelevant applications are disqualified, so applicants must submit accurate information and adhere to the guidelines.
- Shortlisting of Applications: Based on initial evaluations, applicants are shortlisted and notified via email. The number of shortlisted candidates depends on the availability of scholarships and a first-come, first-served basis.
- Interview: Shortlisted candidates are invited for a video conferencing interview. Applicants must be available on WhatsApp/Phone at least 15 minutes before the scheduled interview time.
- Final Evaluation and Selection: The selection panel conducts a final evaluation of all shortlisted candidates, including document verification and background checks. The final recipients of the scholarships are selected based on this evaluation.
- Announcement of Results: All candidates are notified of the outcome. Successful recipients receive an award certificate, financial aid, and a laptop or tablet as a one-time gift.
