Karnataka UGNEET 2024: Date Extended for New Registration and Document Verification
The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has reopened the online registration portal for UG NEET 2024, offering one last opportunity for new registrations and linking UG NEET roll numbers. The decision to extend the registration period comes after numerous requests from parents and students. The portal will be accessible from 6:00 PM on 16th August 2024 until 10:00 AM on 19th August 2024.
This extension allows qualified UG NEET 2024 candidates who have not yet registered to complete their applications and pay the necessary fees. Candidates who are already registered for UGCET 2024 need not register again but can link their UG NEET roll numbers during this period.
Eligibility Criteria and Document Verification:
It is important to note that the SC/ST/OBC eligibility criteria apply only to Karnataka SC/ST/OBC candidates. Detailed information regarding the registration, verification, and subsequent procedures is available on the KEA website.
For OCI/PIO/NRI/Foreign Nationals, NRI Ward candidates, and Category 2 to Category 8 candidates from St. John Medical College, Bangalore, document verification will take place in person at KEA, 18th Cross, Malleswaram, Bangalore, on 19th August 2024, between 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM. All relevant documents must be presented as per the eligibility requirements.
Candidates who missed the document verification process between the 7th to 9th of August 2024 or the 12th to 14th of August 2024 are also eligible to appear for verification on the 19th of August 2024. This is the final opportunity for these candidates to complete the verification process.
Important Note:
As per instructions from the National Medical Commission (NMC) and the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM), all rounds of counseling, including the stray vacancy round, will be conducted exclusively by KEA in an online mode. All UG NEET 2024 qualified candidates are strongly advised to register online and complete the document verification process with KEA to ensure their eligibility for admission to UG Medical, Dental, and Ayush courses in Karnataka.
