NEET-PG 2024: Revised Exam Schedule and Test City Selection Process Announced
The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) released an important notice on 5th July 2024, detailing the revised schedule for NEET-PG 2024. The exam will now be conducted on 11th August 2024 in two shifts, across 185 test cities nationwide.
Key Points from the NBEMS Notice
New Exam Date and Security Measures
NEET-PG 2024 will now take place on 11th August 2024.
Enhanced security measures are being implemented by NBEMS and the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), Government of India.
Test City Re-selection
Candidates who previously received admit cards for the original exam date of 23rd June 2024 must reselect their test cities.
The online window for test city selection will be open from 19th July 2024 to 22nd July 2024 (till 11:55 PM).
Candidates can access this window through the NBEMS website using their NEET-PG 2024 applicant login credentials.
Selection and Allocation of Test Cities
Candidates need to choose four preferred test cities from those available within their state of correspondence address.
If fewer than four test cities are available or demand exceeds capacity, candidates can select cities from nearby states or UTs.
Allocation of test cities will be done randomly from the provided choices.
In cases of overcapacity or other logistical issues, candidates may be allocated test centers in the nearest available locations or elsewhere in the country.
Communication of Test City and Test Centre
Allocated test cities will be communicated to candidates via email on 29th July 2024.
Detailed test center venues will be specified in the admit cards, which will be released on 8th August 2024.
Examination Shifts
Candidates cannot choose their examination shift (morning or afternoon).
The timings for both shifts will be announced in due course.

Additional Information
NBEMS reserves the right to add or remove test cities for security and logistical reasons. Once submitted, preferences for test cities cannot be changed, and the form will not be editable after the deadline.
