NEET (UG) 2024 Re-examination: Important Dates, Details, and Updates for Affected Candidates
The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted the NEET (UG) 2024 on 05 May 2024 for over 24 lakh candidates at 4750 centers in 571 cities worldwide. However, due to some grievances and issues, the NTA has decided to reconduct the examination for 1563 affected candidates. Here’s everything you need to know about the re-examination process, important dates, and other details.
Why the Re-examination?
A High Powered Committee was constituted to examine grievances regarding compensatory/grace marks granted to 1563 candidates. After thorough consideration, the committee recommended a re-examination, which the NTA has accepted.
Key Points of the Re-examination:
- Affected Candidates: Only those 1563 candidates who were awarded compensatory marks will be eligible for the re-examination.
- Cancellation of Previous Scores: The scorecards issued to these candidates on 04 June 2024 will be canceled. Candidates will be informed of their actual scores (without compensatory marks) via registered email.

- Date: 23 June 2024 (Sunday)
- Time: 02:00 PM to 05:20 PM
- Tentative Result Date: 30 June 2024
What Candidates Need to Know:
1. For Candidates Appearing in the Re-examination:
- The marks obtained in the re-test will be considered final.
- Marks from the original examination on 05 May 2024 will be discarded.
2. For Candidates Not Appearing in the Re-examination:
- Their results will be declared based on the actual marks (without compensatory marks) obtained in the examination conducted on 05 May 2024.
Admit Card and Score Card:
- Admit Card: The admit card for the re-examination will be issued subsequently. If there are any issues downloading the admit card, candidates can contact NTA at 011-40759000 / 011-69227700 or email at http://neet@nta.ac.in.
- Score Card: The fresh scorecard for candidates appearing in the re-examination will be available on the NTA website after the examination.
