Following the release of the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (National Examinations for Indian System of Medicine) Regulations, 2023, students now have the opportunity to pursue pre-Ayurveda courses subsequent to their tenth-grade examination. These updated regulations, disclosed in the official Gazette on 20.12.2023, specify the implementation of a distinct National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for enrollment in NEET for pre ayurveda course.

Upon successfully passing the test, involving multiple-choice questions, candidates scoring a minimum of fifty percent will qualify for admission into ayurveda courses after 10th. Upon completion, these students can embark on a journey spanning two years of Pre-Ayurveda, followed by four and a half years pursuing a Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery.
